THE DAMN RELAY TEAM RULES
- Tagging off is done via a high five (very very official). If a rider is unable to high five due to injury or other limitations, a clear verbal ‘tag’ is acceptable with race official approval.
- Support vehicles may not drive on course!!!!!! Meet at intersections along the route.
- The first rider off must ride 20 miles, after that riders must bike 10 miles before tagging off. Exceptions are only allowed in case of mechanicals, medical issues, or with prior approval.
- Riders may take as many turns as they want. We do not require a minimum or maximum amount.
- Any amount of riders from a relay team can be bike together at the same time.
- To tag off each rider will have to come to a complete stop and tag their next rider. NO TAGGING OFF WHILE MOVING! We recommend tagging at the top of hills if possible
- Riders on a team may use their own bike computer or GPS device.
- Team drivers may not drive on the course. Meet at intersections along the route. Very important rule. This is why it is on here twice.
- If a team is challenged about their ride, data will be requested. Hopefully we do not have this issue.
